Can someone confirm that the game is running on Windows 8.1? - GIANTS Software (2024)

I cant get the game to start from steam. Nothing happens. I have tried to mend the game.xml file, reinstalled without the dlc. lanching from x64 folder. everything. nothing works

Please help.

FS22 can't run under Windows 8.1
According to Steam and Giants the minimum operating system is WIndows 10.

Windows 10 64bit
Intel Core i5-3330 or AMD FX-8320 or better
Nvidia Geforce GTX 660, AMD Radeon R7 265 graphics card or better (min 2GB VRAM, DX11/DX12 support)
8 GB RAM
35 GB free hard drive space

There are people playing on 7 and 8 right now. They also are listing it as windows 8 compatible on Amazon and Gamestop so if this is incorrect they are going to have a lot of unhappy people.

On Amazon the platform shows Window 10, Gamestop shows only PC, so i still doubt FS22 will run on Windows 8.1.

You should never trust what online sellers says. There information are often inaccurate and sometimes wrong.

The best way to look up what the developer of the game set as minimum requirements, not the seller.

In this case, Giants has chosen to let FS 22 run on Windows 10/11 for a joyable game experience.

SO Giants is stating only support for windows 10 / 11 does this include dedicated server licences? as DX 11 is supported in Windows 8 and 8.1 which is the same as server 2012 and 2016 if the game will not run on a OS with DX 11 then they just lost a ton of dedicated server licences and playing customers.

Will refunds be processed for this misrepresentation as a dedicated server owner and the product package provided on the CD image clearly states the product would be supported for DX 11 dedicated servers. I will not be spending a stuff ton on a new server OS just for this game!

I just performed a fresh install of Win 10. FM22 install almost done. lets see.

well server 2016 does not support DX12 either so if this game is going DX12 support only please direct me to where I file for my refund with a giants website purchase please!

Edit: never mind I have filed for my refund via support website process it and lets be done this is BS and I'll not be returning to the FS franchise after this.
